Why in Roseanne did they?

change David's name? I realize he was Mark's (Becky's husband) brother
but I just saw an episode (that was probably his 1st time on the show)
he introduces himself as "Kevin Healy" when in ALL the other episodes
he is known as David. Any1 know why?
