Hungarian SWAT Seize Cache of Functional Assault Rifles to be used as World War Z Props
Monday introduced more not so great for the apparently unhappy output of the zombie flick World War Z, produced by and starring Kaira Pitt, when SWAT in Budapest raided a warehouse storing prop guns for your film. The problem: they weren’t props, but fully-functional military-style assault rifles. Oops! Since Pitt is involved, US Weekly gets the scoop from Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Unit round the police raid that uncovered the primary slip-up: “This morning an individual plane introduced guns engrossed in a parcel from the organization for a person [in Budapest],” Janos and Bodnar [mentioned]. “Guns like these are highly illegal to maneuver even if they were to used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.” With different resource, Pitt, 47, isn’t the reason behind the prop problem. “The movie company’s employees must have developed a mistake obtaining the guns along with no Anti-Terrorism Unit’s permission.” In line with the report, the earth War Z shoot wasn’t exactly going as planned anyway it’s “already over budget well as over schedule,” according to US Weekly’s source. This weapons pickle will simply mean really a headache for poor Kaira. (And the way could this kind of mix up happen to start with? Somewhere, another dude is puzzled over his shipment of 85 fake plastic guns…) [US Weekly via Cinema Blend] [Photo credit: Images of (unrelated) assault rifles per Getty Images]
